The latest news regarding Anand Rai 's ' Raanjhanaa ' is that Abhay Deol has also been convinced to join the cast of the film. He will be playing Sonam Kapoor 's batch-mate, colleague and love-interest at the Jawaharlal Nehru University. Abhay will be seen as a well-read, eloquent soft spoken JNU student.

According to a source, who is close to the project, Abhay and Sonam play JNU colleagues whose characters would be known to one another for eight years in the script. Their views on politics and life are alike and they will often be seen indulged in brainstorming sessions.

Now Dhanush 's task has become even more challenging. He will have to match the fluency of Abhay Deol 's Hindi language. He has been working meticulously on his Hindi for his ' Raanjhanaa ', which is his Bollywood debut. But his homework is not yet complete. As Dhanush is known to do his homework until he gets the role absolutely right, he has requested Anand Rai to give him a month's time to further work on his Hindi diction.

The shooting of ' Raanjhanaa ' has been pushed forward from May to June. And the director has confirmed this news saying that this has been done due to various reasons.
