Amitabh Bachchan sings a song in R. Balki's upcoming film 'Shamitabh'. The song is composed by Ilaiyaraaja.

Recently, Amitabh Bachchan's look from the upcoming film 'Shamitabh' was unveiled and the megastar was seen in a new avatar. Big B is playing a key role in this flick that also features Dhanush and Akshara Haasan. This film will be debut flick of Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara.

Going by the news update, Amitabh Bachchan has lent his voice to a song in 'Shamitabh' to be helmed by R. Balki. The song is composed by Ilaiyaraaja, who has till now composed music for more than 900 movies in his career span. Talking about this, Bachchan senior posted on his blog, "Oh and yes another session with Aadesh (Shrivastava) at his music studio last night did result in another song that I had to sing for 'Shamitabh'...the finest quality of music from the genius of Ilayaraja, the magician from Chennai." Mr Bachchan went all praises for Ilaiyaraaja by writing that "How many years have passed since his emergence and how till today his prominence continues. The veteran, the master, who nurtured some very special musicians."
