Amitabh Bachchan to play himself in 'Ghumketu'
After 'Bombay Talkies', the superstar Amitabh Bachchan will play himself again in Pushpendra Misra's directorial debut 'Ghumketu'.
Amitabh Bachchan recently played himself in Anurag Kashyap's 'Bombay Talkies'. Bachchan senior has pulled up his socks and is all set to again essay himself in ad filmmaker Pushpendra Misra's directorial debut 'Ghumketu', reportedly.
'Ghumketu' features the ace actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a struggling film writer who arrives in Mumbai to make it big. Nevertheless, the script made by Siddiqui turns out to be plagiarized and a film is already made on that script by another filmmaker. At this point, the struggling script writer knocks the door of Amitabh Bachchan and the "shehenshah" himself provides him support. The filmmaker Anurag Kashyap will also be portraying himself in this flick. A close source revealed that "It is a satirical take on a writer's struggle to make a place for himself in the industry. Comedy is a genre Nawaz hasn't attempted before. Both Bachchan and Kashyap have extended cameos in the film. Anurag has already filmed his part, but Bachchan is yet to shoot his portion."
