Amole Gupte is confident about Shraddha playing Saina Nehwal in the biopic!

BollywoodMDB reported our readers that young star Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to play the role of the badminton ace Saina Nehwal in her biopic. There were speculations being made about Deepika Padukone’s casting but Shraddha bagged the meaty role. Filmmaker Amole Gupte who has been working on the script for over two years is confident about his choice. In a recent media interaction, he expresses and shares details about the upcoming film in detail.
Amole Gupte said, "Shraddha resembles Saina. In fact, she was always my first choice. I have had conversations with Saina too. It’s not that this idea popped up recently. I have been sitting on this script for two years."
"Shraddha is undergoing training from ace badminton player Jitesh Padukone to get into the character. She is so committed to it," he added.
When asked about the difficulty of the process in making a biopic, he said, "I don’t know how aware people were about Milkha Singh or Phogat sisters. There are ways of rewriting stories. I would not like to waste the opportunity by creating something so unbelievable that it seems like fiction."
Shraddha Kapoor who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film Haseena Parkar which is also a biopic is extremely excited about Nehwal’s biopic as well. She is working hard to get close to the level set by the badminton ace. Shraddha feels it is a responsibility to portray a youth icon on screen and hence is giving it all for perfecting her game.
