Another feather in 'Barfi!' s cap
Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor starer 'Barfi!' has again came with with the flying colors at another international film festival. Though the film could not make it in the National Awards, but the film got a huge response from the East.

Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor starer ' Barfi! ' has again came with with the flying colors at another international film festival. Though the film could not make it in the National Awards, but the film got a huge response from the East. ' Barfi! ' has bagged the award of the Best Film at the famous Okinawa International Film Festival.
The director of ' Barfi! ' Anurag Basu recently revealed the news on twitter. He tweeted that ' Barfi! ' has won the Grand Jury Prize at the Okinawa International Film Festival in Japan. The director expressed that winning the award at Okinawa for ' Barfi! ' is a very special moment for him as ' Barfi! ' has won the competition against one of his favorite movies 'Beasts of the Sounthern Wild'. The movie 'Beasts of the Southern Wild' was a winner at the prestigious Cannes festival and got four nominations at the Oscars, but at Okinawa, ' Barfi! ' beat the movie and bagged the award.
However it was the co-producer of the film Roocha Pathak who revealed the news for the first time by posting on twitter. She congratulated Anurag Basu and Ronnie Screwvala for winning the award at Okinawa International Film Festival on twitter and that broke the news.
