Eminent lensman Jagdish Mali, who was the father of Bollywood actress Antara Mali lost his battle with life on May 13 at Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai. A close source from the hospital confirmed the news of Jagdish Mali's death mentioning that, yes, he passed away today (May 13). Mali was in his 60's.
The sad demise of press photographer Jagdish Mali proved as a shock to the Bollywood fraternity. Mali was admitted to Nanavati Hospital before some days and his daughter Antara Mali along with her husband Che Kurien used to often visit Mali in the hospital. The exact reason behind Jagdish Mali's death has not been known yet.
The happy-go-lucky artist used to mostly dress up with capris, ponytail, beard and earring. His lenses captured plenty of renowned personalities like Rekha, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar and Emraan Hashmi. Jagdish Mali's friends' circle comprised of several Photography Pundits like Gautam Rajadhyaksha, Rakesh Shrestha, Ashok Salian and Jayesh Sheth.
Jagdish Mali had a dream of publishing a book on past and present generation of Bollywood stars like Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan. But, his dream remained unfulfilled as the camera of the photographer packed up to the heavenly journey.
