Anurag Kashyap Fails to Screen 'Gangs of Wasseypur 2' in Dhanbad
You may be surprised to know that ‘Gangs Of Wasseypur 2’ which is based on the real incidents of Dhanbad, was unable to be premiered in Dhanbad itself. So was the case with its part 1 but it was reported that its director would achieve success in screening its part 2 in Dhanbad also.

You may be surprised to know that ' Gangs Of Wasseypur 2 ' which is based on the real incidents of Dhanbad, was unable to be premiered in Dhanbad itself. So was the case with its part 1 but it was reported that its director would achieve success in screening its part 2 in Dhanbad also.
Though Anurag tried to premier it in Dhanbad, the local police objected and did not allow this to happen. According to Anurag, "Yes, the film was all set to be premeired and released in Dhanbad, Wassseypur this time, but due to some sensitive issues ,the police has not yet permitted for ' Gangs Of Wasseypur 2 ' to be released in Dhanbad. This has in a way set me off because it was my dream to have a premiere of Part 2 in Wasseypur."
' Gangs Of Wasseypur 2 ' was premeired in many theatres of metros (such as Mumbai) on Tuesday night and saw nearly 60% occupancy in most of the theatres and a few theatres were almost houseful. It released worldwide today despite being A Wednesday (not Friday).
