Just when 'Vicky Donor' went hit, the producer-director-actor trio of John Abraham, Shoojit Sircar and Ayushman Khurana decided to be back together with 'Hamara Bajaj'. But their second venture had to go through the long list of delays.
First of all, the title 'Hamara Bajaj' invited the trouble as the automobile company Bajaj Group objected the film for using the tagline of their scooter commercial without their consent. This battle delayed the project and the cast and crew got busy with the other ventures. Over the process, it was also decided that Amit Roy would direct the film as Shoojit is stuck with other work commitments.
Things getting on the reconciling mode, Ayushman came up with the brand new title- 'Agra Ka Daabra' for the film. Initially, his character was named Sanjay Bajaj so 'Hamara Bajaj' title was finalized. But the legal turmoil made the makers change his name to Sanjay Daabra to suit the new title. Also the film has Agra connection, as Ayushman plays a tourist guide of Agra who aspires to be an actor someday. Thus, clicking the rhyme 'Agra Ka Daabra' was an apt title for the film.
'Agra Ka Daabra' will finally go on the floor in December.
