The spectacular biopic of Indian legendary sprinter Milkha Singh ' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ' whipped loads of success and yet, the film has continued to remain the talk of the town. And now, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra 's directorial wonder ' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ' was the inaugural movie at the Indo-German Film Festival held in Berlin, reportedly.

Mehra has come up with a special version of the film, in which it has been cut short from 3 hours to 2 hours and the director calls it as "world version", which is suitable for the global audience. Talking about ' Bhaag Milkha Bhaag ' being the opening film at the Indo-German Film Festival, Mehra stated that "The film is no longer mine or Farhan's. It belongs to the world. It now runs in non-traditional global areas where Hindi cinema is synonymous with the Bollywood formula. BMB is Bollywood. It has songs and dancing. But it's still not what audiences in the West expect from Indian cinema,"

Farhan Akhtar could not join Mehra at the festival, as the actor was busy with the promotions of his upcoming film ' Shaadi Ke Side Effects '.
