Amitabh Bachchan is no doubt the Shehenshah of Bollywood. At 75, he still is doing more films than other young stars of B-town. Last appeared in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Sarkar 3’, Big B will next be seen in Vijay Krishna Acharya’s ‘Thugs Of Hindostan’. The film is set across many locations of the world and Senior Bachchan has just finished shooting for its Thailand schedule. Describing the shoot, Big B wrote on his blog, “Strangely though, the so-called harsh schedule just completed in the wilds and hills and chills of mountainous Thailand of disciplined, gentle and smiling Thai have not had any after effects of discomfort or malaise. It’s been tough, the shoot for Thugs of Hindostan, but in a funny way very energizing.”
As the title of the film itself describes that it will be related with some thug stories, the film is based on Philip Meadows Taylor’s 1839 novel Confessions of a Thug which is about a gang of Thugs who posed a serious challenge to the British Empire in India during the early 19th century.
‘Thugs Of Hindostan’ will bring two unique personalities, Big B and Aamir Khan, for the first time in a film together. While Vijay has worked with Aamir before, he is fully enthusiastic working with legendary, Bachchan. Talking about the film and the character’s role, Vijay gave a statement to a leading daily, “I always like to give and present my actors in a different look. Both (Aamir and Bachchan) will have a different look. But there is no drastic change in the look. I have worked with Aamir on ‘Dhoom 3’ and he has a great fitness regime, while Mr. Bachchan looks good with anything.”
