Earlier actor Saif Ali Khan turned down Reema's next due to remuneration issues, later Shahid was approached but even he refused to take up the project. The film was on a hunt for the male lead and other casting for quite a long. Kangana could not accommodate the delay any more as she had been flooded with offers. She allotted the slot for Hansal Mehta's upcoming project which will go on floors soon.
