The poster has Begum Jaan played by Vidya Balan, sitting in a commanding position. She has got ruthless face with attention grabbing uni-brow and grey eyes. Here, she is seen playing the madam of a brothel.

Begum Jaan is the remake of Bengali film Rajkahini. The original casted Rituparna Sengupta and won the critical acclaim.
