Clash Alert: Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Cheat India’ to release on 25th January 2019!
Emraan Hashmi’s Cheat India to clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 on 25th January 2019.
Exactly a month back, Emraan Hashmi announced his new film, Cheat India. Directed by Soumik Sen, the film is jointly produced by T-Series, Emraan Hashmi Films and Ellipsis Entertainment. The movie is being touted as an intense, edge-of-the-seat drama, inspired by real incidents from the Indian education system. The film is about to go floors but the makers have revealed its release date. Hashmi’s Cheat India is scheduled to release on 25th January 2019. Interestingly, the film will clash with Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30, which is also based on education, teacher and his life.
The Republic Day of 2019 will see two movies based on education releasing on the same date but both will show two extreme opposite stories.
Talking about the film, Emraan says, “The script and title of Cheat India are supremely powerful. This is among the most engaging and riveting stories I’ve read in a while and I am thrilled to be essaying what I believe will be a landmark role in my filmography. I am also looking forward to working with some formidable partners – Soumik, an amazing storyteller, Ellipsis, the new kids with a pulse on clutter-breaking content and marketing, and T-Series, with whom I share an old association on music and films.”
In the past, director Soumik Sen has helmed Gulaab Gang (2014) and this will be his second film as a director after 4 long years.
