Dia Mirza will lend her voice to a documentary for creating awareness about Deonar dumping grounds.
Bollywood actress Dia Mirza, the brand ambassador of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Swachh Bharat Abhiyan's new program the Swachh Saathi Program. More than 2000 volunteers have enrolled for ensuring that students from 10000 schools will take the initiative to the next level. Reportedly, Dia Mirza will create awareness about Deonar dumping grounds, which is causing health problems to the people living in Govandi, Chembur and Mankhurd.
Dia spoke about it by saying that "We were all alarmed when a fire broke out there recently with many citizens raising questions. It made us relatively more aware but not enough to encourage us to make better choices. This film explains what causes the fires and also the other realities of the site that many of us are ignorant about. Most importantly, it holds up a mirror to society, urging us to step up and act. I chose to lend my voice to it because it offers a solution."
The actress recently grabbed attentions with her look of 60s screen diva at Lakme Fashion Week 2016.
