She has made super hit movies like ' Om Shanti Om ', ' Main Hoon Na ' and ' Happy New Year '. The filmmaker Farah Khan has been honoured with the Faten Hamama Award for her excellence in cinema at the 37th Cairo International Film Festival. When Farah arrived in Egypt, she received a warm welcome from her Egyptian fans and Hindi cinema buffs. Farah said "I have three children and I came here and I think that action is better than words. You can see that I came to Egypt and it is safe,"

The filmmaker Khan has visited Egypt three times and she has filmed some song sequences in places likethe Pyramids. She wished to shoot in other historical places like the Nile River and Sphinx. Farah's flick ' Om Shanti Om ' will be screened on this event on November 19. The filmmaker will receive a special reception prior to this screening and she will also grace the red carpet.
