Farhan Akhtar to play a single-dad in Mohit Suri’s next!
Farhan Akhtar will be starring in the role of single father, inspired by the life of filmmaker Mohit Suri’s father.

Director turned actor Farhan Akhtar has been roped by filmmaker Mohit Suri for his next film. He will be seen playing a single dad’s character inspired by real life.
In his recent media interaction, Mohit talked about the project and said this film is very close to his heart. It will focus on the father-son relationship, where Farhan plays a fictitious character who is a boxer by profession. His character is closely inspired by Mohit’s father who raised him on his own, after his mother’s death. The story will bring in picture, the challenges and responsibilities, a single parent faces while bringing up their child.
On Mohit’s personal front, he lost his mother at the age of 8, while his father was just 36. Since then, he has been looked after by him.
A few days back Farhan heard the script and gave his nod. The project will start its pre-production process, once Mohit is back from his 2 weeks’ vacation in the US.
This yet untitled film is said to be produced by Goldie Behl. His team will soon begin the auditions for the child artist to play Farhan’s son in the film.
