Fatima Sana Shaikh Shares How She Landed Thugs Of Hindostan!

Recently, the makers of Thugs Of Hindostan confirmed the presence of Dangal fame actress Fatima Sana Shaikh in the film. The news broke the internet and instantly became the talk of the town. Since this is a big YRF project starring superstars like Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan , it is indeed a big thing for the newbie actress.

Fatima expressed her excitement in a media statement. She said, It is a huge project and with one of the best production houses. And plus there’s Amitabh sir and AK (Aamir). I feel very fortunate."

Talking about her struggles, the actress said, “Chachi 420 happened when I was a child, and then I had to struggle again, I gave so many auditions. All this has come to me, but it came to me with a lot of effort… The struggle never ends.”

She added, “After ‘Dangal’, I was back to square one. For ‘Thugs…’ also, I had to go through multiple rounds of auditions till I got the film. So, we can do several films, but every film will be like a first — at least it is so for me because you start from scratch. For me, this life… Acting and films… is very sacred. I have struggled for long and so, I value things. Even if I have to give multiple auditions, it is okay.”

Fatima also discussed about her look in the film, pictures of which were floating around the internet. She said, “It is somewhere around it. But the final look is yet to be locked… They will sharpen it.”

The pretty actress also has to train hard for the movie and she is ready for it. Fatima said, “Oh yes! I am ready for it. My body says work harder. I am doing a lot of training because ‘Thugs…’ demands a different kind of action from wrestling. I will need to look tall, be light on my feet, jump and be agile. I have to learn sword fighting and archery because she is a warrior.”

Thugs Of Hindostan is taking shape and the makers are set to start shooting from June 1. This YRF drama has been directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, and is set in the pre-independence era. The film is said to feature high octane war at sea sequences. It has been scheduled to release in 2018.
