Fatima Sana Shaikh to sign no films until the release of Thugs Of Hindostan!
Reportedly, Fatima has been approached by many filmmakers but she has turned all of them down.
After making her power-packed debut in Dangal, newbie Fatima Sana Shaikh is doing a yet another mega project. Her debut was grand as she was seen alongside Aamir Khan and reportedly, she will be paired opposite the superstar in Thugs Of Hindostan as well. But according to insiders, even after appearing in two big projects at the beginning of her career, the actress will not sign any film till TOH gets released. As per a report in a leading daily, Fatima has been approached by multiple filmmakers and has a bevvy of offers. However, she has not signed any other film.
“At the moment, the world is talking about debutants like Janhvi Kapoor and Sara Ali Khan. But as soon as Thugs of Hindostan releases, Fatima, who had made a strong impact through her debut film Dangal, will surely have more projects lining up for her. With a mentor like Aamir Khan, she is sure to make the right choices. Someone like her should be getting multiple offers in a month, but it is all about waiting for the right films and making intelligent choices,” a source close to the actor told a leading daily.
In Dangal, the young actress was seen as Aamir’s daughter and in TOH, it is reported that she will be seen romancing him. About this, she had said, “I knew that people are going to think like this. I am an actor after all. Suppose if I hadn't acted in Dangal, and got an offer to act opposite Aamir sir, I would have, of course, said yes. Even today, if I am asked to act opposite Shah Rukh Khan, I would stand in the frame immediately. When you have grown up watching these stars and are fond of them, you would definitely want to work with them. I used to get disheartened and sad [when I heard such things], because I thought, me playing his daughter in the film shouldn't be the reason for me not getting the part'. There have been so many instances of actors playing mothers, daughters and lovers. That's our job, and you keep playing different characters from different age groups. So, I don't have any issues.”
