First Look of 'Project Marathwada' out now

First Look of the film 'Project Marathwada' is out now. The film is based on sensitive issue of farmers' suicides in the nation.

Bollywood actor Om Puri and producer-director team of Prakash Patel and Bhavin Wadia will team up for the upcoming film 'Project Marathwada'. The movie is based on the sensitive issue of farmers' suicide happening in the nation. The first look of the film showcases the painful lives of poverty stricken farmer families and their problems.

The poster shows last rituals of a farmer and the grief stricken villagers in hapless situation. It displays the people living with zero hopes, as they fail to get help from the system. The teaser also shows corrupt government officials and corporate 'babus' influence. Om Puri plays an old helpless farmer called Tukaram, whose farmer son commits suicide. The film has been shot in Vidarbha belt of Maharashtra.

Om Puri said "It's moving at how we have abandoned our farmers and yet they have continued to feed us. While playing the character of Tukaram, I have felt a part of their lives and it is really disturbing to see their miserable state. We hope to create a strong wind and arouse a sense of responsibility in every Indian to reach out the fateful farmers."
