Harshvardhan & Anil Kapoor to invest 4 months in the preparation of Abhinav Bindra biopic!
The real-life father-son duo will also be seen playing reel-life father-son, and they will fly to Chandigarh in October to prep for Bindra’s biopic.
Professional shooter Abhinav Bindra made India swell with pride by winning a Gold Medal at Olympics (Beijing) in 2008. A decade after his high-profile win, filmmaker Kannan Iyer is gearing up for a cinematic translation of his victory. As Bindra is now retired from professional shooting, he has given his nod to make a biographical film on him. And the makers have roped in Harshvardhan Kapoor to portray on-screen Abhinav Bindra. Harshvardhan, who is currently busy with Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi, wants to invest sufficient time for the preparation of Bindra’s biopic. So he along with his father, Anil Kapoor, will head to Chandigarh, the hometown of Bindra, for the preps. Anil and Harsh will be seen in the movie as reel-life father and son and will be spending around 3-4 months in Chandigarh to get into the skin of their respective characters.
A source close to the development said, “Harshvardhan Kapoor is up for any amount of preparation for his upcoming project, which is a biopic based on the life of a retired professional shooter.”
The source further went on to add, “Both the Kapoors have freed their calendar from July to October, in order to accommodate the prep for the biopic. Right after Bhavesh Joshi release, he and his father will fly to Chandigarh. The movie will be on floors by January as soon as their prep concludes.”
