Has Akshay Kumar opted out of Gulshan Kumar’s biopic?
Akshay will no longer be a part of Gulshan Kumar’s biopic due to some creative differences.
A couple of months ago, it was announced that a biopic on Gulshan Kumar is in the pipeline. Kumar was a film producer and also the founder of country’s top music label, T-Series. Today T-Series controls more than 60% share of the Indian music market. The biopic is tentatively titled, ‘Mogul’ and makers had approached Akshay Kumar to play the role of late Gulshan Kumar. But now the latest we hear is that Akshay has opted out of the project because of some creative differences between him and the makers.
As reported by a leading tabloid, "Akshay has some concerns over the script that director Subhash Kapoor has green lit. He requested a few things be rewritten. But, Subhash was adamant. Hence, Akshay thought it was best if he opted out."
If sources are to be believed, Akshay is yet to tell the producers about this decision. It is also reported that he is reassigning the dates that are allotted to the film to other producers. Well, no such confirmation is out either from the makers or from the actor’s side.
