The last song of Begum Jaan – Murshida, voiced by Arijit Singh is the beautiful summation to the album.
Vidya Balan's upcoming movie Begum Jaan has got an excellent album with illustrious singers like Asha Bhosale, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Sonu Nigam and Kalpan Patowary voicing the tracks. And now, there’s a final addition to this label with Arijit Singh. He has voiced the last song of Begum Jaan's album, Murshida.
Murshida means "leader" in Urdu. Therefore, the song is based upon the journey of brothel’s head Begum Jaan, played by Vidya Balan. Its meaningful lyrics are penned by Rahat Indori and composed by Anu Malik.
Begum Jaan is the official remake of Bengali film Rajkahini. It will be releasing on April 14.
