'Highway' shoot finished before schedule

The young director Imtiaz Ali has managed to complete the tiresome shoot of his upcoming film 'Highway', eight days before the planned schedule by shooting the film rapidly.

The talented director Imtiaz Ali who is currently working on his upcoming project ' Highway ' has shot the film so speedily that now the shoot for the film has been completed before the pre-decided schedule. ' Highway ' features beautiful Alia Bhatt and macho man Randeep Hooda . Imtiaz has reached the finishing line eight days earlier than its planned schedule. The film has completed its shooting on 28th May.

Imtiaz said that, ' Highway ' had the most number of locations in this film for him , still it was a shortest span of shoot. Imtiaz expressed that, this speedy schedule was but obvious for a movie which is titled as ' Highway '. The director said that the shooting for ' Highway ' had been the most intense and liberating journey for him. Imtiaz has travelled a lot for his earlier movies ' Rockstar ' and ' Jab We Met '.

The reports say that the entire shooting schedule for ' Highway ' was planned for 60 days. But the ' Highway ' team has finished it in just 52 days despite having a challenging schedule of travelling in six states of India. The team has done the shooting in extreme conditions, from the snow covered upper Himachal where the temperature was sub-zero to the hot city like Gurgaon where the mercury jumped up to 50 degree Centigrade. The team has also travelled in buses and trains in Rajasthan to the hotels which had no electricity and water especially in Kaza in Himachal. They also endured the dangerous treks during heavy rains in Kashmir.

' Highway ' is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala which has the melodious music composed by A. R. Rahman . The film is slated to release on 13th December.
