Even though Sanjay Dutt has been in the Hindi film industry for almost three decades, very few people know that he was the first actor in the industry to have learnt martial arts way back in 1979!

Fans of the actors Ajay Devgn and Akshay Kumar might give credit to them for introducing martial arts in the action sequences of Hindi films, but recently Sanjay Dutt has revealed about his interest in the martial arts.

Along with Raj Kundra, Sanjay Dutt is coming up with the Super Fight League, which is intended to give the Indian mixed martial artists a platform to compete and grow in its home country. SFL will also bring in talented fighters from different parts of the world.

While talking about the SFL, Sanjay Dutt was quoted saying, "What many don't know is that I was the first guy in the industry to learn martial arts in 1979. I learned 'kung fu' for a period of nine and a half years and it was used to an extent in my first film Rocky ."

He added, "Because of this, I was always inclined towards martial arts as a sport, which is why I am a part of the Super Fight League."
