Initially, SRK wasn't part of Zero, reveals Katrina Kaif

Aanand L Rai's Zero is one of the most-awaited films of 2018. On New Year, the makers unveiled the title and teaser of the film which received a positive response from the audience. The film stars superstar Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role, while actresses Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma are also part of the movie. While talking about the film with a daily, Katrina revealed that initially, Zero revolved around her character and Shah Rukh Khan was not even part of it. “Initially, I was supposed to play myself in ‘Zero’. The film was titled ‘Katrina Meri Jaan’. There was a different cast on board and Shah Rukh sir wasn’t part of it. Now, it’s a satirical take on an actress,” said Kaif.

Zero brings back the trio of Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma after a long gap of 6 years. Three of them last worked together in Yash Chopra's romantic film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan in 2012. Praising Shah Rukh, Katrina said, “Shah Rukh sir is one of the best actors in the industry. His drive, energy and passion are commendable. It’s great to be around him on a set.”

Zero is scheduled for release on 21st December. It is clashing with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath, which stars Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan in lead roles.
