Jio cracked a deal with Roy Kapur Films to produce original content for the Jio platform!
Following the successful formula of Netflix, Roy Kapur Film will be producing original content, ranging all genres to be streamed on Jio platform for Jio users!
Media streaming platforms seems to be the new future for the content creators and filmmakers, as there is a significant shift of filmmakers heading or at least trying their hands on digital content creation and, now corporate houses are paving the way for budding filmmakers to create content without much censorship and scrutiny of any sort. And now Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. (Jio) made a deal with Roy Kapur Films (RKF) to create original digital video content for the Jio streaming platform, which will be curated, developed, commissioned and creatively produced by Roy Kapur Films!
And as per early propositions, the contents will be produced in a wide range, covering and promoting the most genres of content, in for of series and even some selected documentary series, solely targeted to entertain all class of audience and continue gaining more audience-base! Considering the range of films RKF produce, films like Dangal, Barfi, ABCD and Chennai Express, it would be fair to have expectations from the production house to produced quality content.
Though this is not the first time a corporate house joined their hands with a Bollywood film production company, but mostly for producing a film and this would be a potent step toward the entertaining audience with unique and quality content! So far, such trick worked in a big way for some of the internationally popular streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime, who gained popularity and mass-subscription with the original content and series they have produced and hope it would also work for the Jio-RFK deal!
