After impressing the masses with Hindi films, superstar Kajol last appeared in 2017’s film ‘Velaiilla Pattadhari 2’ (VIP 2) opposite Dhanush. It has been more than 2 years that the actress has done any Hindi feature film, but the fans have to wait no more. Kajol will soon start with her new Bollywood film. She is set to be seen in Pradeep Sarkar's directorial tentatively titled ‘Ela’ which will be produced by her husband Ajay Devgn. Now, as per reports in a leading tabloid, the movie is set to go on floors on January 24, 2018. In the film, Kajol will be seen playing the role of a single mother who is an aspiring singer as well. The movie is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi's Gujarati play titled Beta, Kaagdo (Son, Crow). The makers of the film have purchased the rights to make the movie.

Talking in detail about the movie, Pradeep said to a leading tabloid, "I was offered the script around four months ago. It took me a while to understand the Gujarati tone but eventually, I fell in love with this extremely emotional story which boasts of some really strong characters and there's a chance of people getting really close to them."

"I am getting involved in the dialogue and character-building as there are a few insights that I want to incorporate to make the film more endearing. This is not like Parineeta, where everything was detailed, this is more free-flowing, a character and music driven film," the filmmaker continued.

In the past, Kajol has done successful films where she played the lead and now when she is coming after 3 years, we hope she manages to pull the crowd as she has done before.
