Horse riding, sword fighting you name it! Actress Kangana Ranaut is giving her all for her upcoming film Manikarnika.

Bollywood’s bold and beautiful Kangana Ranaut has been in news lately more for her personal life than for her latest release, Simran . The Hansal Mehta ’s directorial garnered mixed reviews from the audience as well as the critics. However, Kangana’s performance is widely appreciated. Now, the actress is gearing up for her next which is a biographical, historical drama on the life of Rani of Jhansi. The film Manikarnika has Kangana Ranaut in the title role and the lady is leaving no stone unturned to perfect her role.
Kangana has taken horse riding lessons, she has taken dialect lessons, now she is learning sword fighting and intensely preparing for the war scenes. As these scenes will be aesthetically shot and requires a lot of practice so as to look as authentic as possible. According to the reports, popular TV actress Ankita Lokhande has been roped in for a pivotal role in the film. She will be making her big Bollywood debut via this biographical drama.
Writer-director Vijayendra Prasad said in a statement, "I had agreed to pen the story only if the makers roped in Krish to direct. They liked his work in 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and brought him on board. Since we are dealing with history and hard facts, we did a lot of research for this project.”
Prasad further revealed that, "The war episodes will be the major highlight of the film. It will be shot on a scale that has not been seen before on Indian screens.”
