Lara Dutta Bhupathi to produce a sports-based movie
Actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi will produce a sports-based film soon. She produced the film Chalo Dilli in 2011.

B-Town actress Lara Dutta Bhupathi donned the hat of producer with the film Chalo Dilli in 2011 in which she acted and shared the screen with Vinay Pathak. The actress is all set to come up with her second outing as a producer. Lara Dutta Bhupathi will reportedly produce a sports-based film now and, it will be the real tale of Chhattisgarh Women's Basketball team that created waves in 2015 post winning every major title in India.
This movie will highlight every player's personal and professional journey and how they fought against all odds to achieve their ultimate aim. The rights of the story have been already bought by Lara and this film will be produced under her banner Bheegi Basanti Entertainment.
Talking about this movie, Lara said "I have always wanted to tell stories that celebrate the strength of human spirit. When we were looking for our second subject, this fantastic story suddenly popped up in our search. Madhya Pradesh has always given the country decent basketball teams but the efforts of coach Rajesh Patel, who led the Chhattisgarh Girls team to success, was truly the game changer for both the sport and girls. Whilst working at the Bhilai Steel Plant and as the Head Coach of all of Chhattisgarh's State Women's teams, Patel led the team to extraordinary success, making it a true-to-life fairy tale story. A love for the game, coupled with the celebration of the indomitable human spirit, made this an ideal story for us to chase and recreate."
