The new remake of the 1973 Amitabh Bachchan starrer blockbuster \'Zanjeer\' has reportedly got into some legal problems. The new movie is a remake by Amit Mehra, son of Prakash Mehra who made the original one.
Amit failed to make rights payments on time to brothers Sumeet and Puneet, and therefore has lost the contract that awarded Amit Mehra the rights for remake of the film.
The Arbitrator supported the termination, due to which Amit had to move to Bombay High Court. Now going by the court orders, he cannot proceed until further orders.
There have been rumours that his brothers want upholding of the Arbitration Order to continue. The movie would star Telegu star Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra.
