Legendary Asha Bhosle to turn 80 on September 8

The legendary songstress of Bollywood, Asha Bhosle will be turning 80 on September 8. The dimpled Asha had made everyone to marvel at her timeless resilience and versatility. Asha Bhosle had made a valuable contribution in the playback singing of Bollywood films. All of us know, the singing diva is blessed with an enchanting voice and unparalleled singing talent. The veteran Asha Bhosle had lent her voice to numerous songs till now, but some of her all time favourites are "Piya piya na laage mora jiya", "Teri Meri Yaari Badi Purani" and "Chhun chhun ghungroo bole".

On asking her playback singing career journey till now and her turning points in this trip, Asha gets candid by saying that she came across three prime turning points. She started playback singing for heroines from the film ' Naya Daur ', told by Asha. She said that after this, she did it for ' Teesri Manzil ' in 1966. ' Umrao Jaan ' of the year 1981, was the next milestone in this path, Asha revealed. The eminent singers like Khayyam , O. P. Nayyar and R. D. Burman were the ones, who projected Asha's voice in different ways and tapped her potential, she added.

As she will be completing 79 years of her life on September 8, Asha expressed her views about her life till now. She is glad about what God had given her in the life and she is leading a happy and peaceful life. With the enough endurance power, the singer had come over all the adversities in her life, said Asha. The enchantress also mentions about her ten restaurants in the countries like Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, etc. Asha personally supervises the menu at these restaurants, which serve vegetarian as well as non-vegetarian food items.
