Vidya Chavan, member of legislative council (MLC) had written a letter to the mayor Sunil Prabhu stating that the posters, displayed at bus stops were vulgar and embarrassing for women and children. She found posters of ' Jism 2 ' 'objectionable' and 'obscene', and acting on her complaint the mayor Sunil Prabhu had ordered to remove the posters of ' Jism 2 ' from BEST buses and bus stops.

Knowing it, the writer of this film Mahesh Bhatt and father of Pooja Bhatt (who is also the producer-director of it) lashed out at the mayor's decision to get the posters removed. He claimed that politicians and public offices wanted to attract publicity from such types of issues and that they begin their moral policing promotion a few days just before the release of the film.

' Jism 2 ' released in many theatres on 2nd August (night) and officially released in theatres today all over India.
