Manoj Bajpai to essay gangster Arun Gawli

The versatile actor Manoj Bajpai is all set to play his next notorious character in the next installment of Shootout series directed by Sanjay Gupta.

The versatile actor Manoj Bajpai rose to fame from his character Bhiku Mhatre in the blockbuster ' Satya ' (1998) directed by Ram Gopal Varma . Recently, Manoj was seen playing underworld don Zubair Imtiaz Haskar in the action-crime flick ' Shootout At Wadala ' by Sanjay Gupta . His character in this flick was inspired by Dawood Ibrahim's elder brother.

The buzz says that the gangsta rap of the actor still continues with more and more notorious category roles. As per the latest reports, Manoj Bajpai will be rendering the character of Arun Gawali, one of most infamous gangsters in Mumbai. This character of Manoj can be seen in the next installment of Shootout series by Sanjay Gupta . In this flick, muscular hunk John Abraham will be playing a police officer, while Abhishek Bachchan will be depicted as encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar.

Arun Gawli, who is also known as Daddy, is originally known as Arun Gulab Ahir. His typical dress code comprises of a while kurta-pyjama and a Gandhi cap. This gangster turned politician is serving a life term. Dagdi Chawl is his 'ilaaka', which is situated near Saat Rasta, Byculla. Gawli has been interrogated plenty of times by the law for contract killing, extortion and racketeering.

Manoj Bajpai prefers to keep mum regarding the project.
