Milap Zaveri’s directorial ‘Raakh’ is not getting a good kick-start. Earlier he was facing some financial issues to produce the film and now, when the male leads have been finalized, he is not getting the female lead. It is reported that the makers first approached Tamannaah Bhatia as the lead heroine but after she declined the offer, the makers then asked newbie Pooja Hegde, the ‘Mohenjo Daro’ fame. If sources are to be believed, even Pooja has said no the role and rejected the offer. Now an insider informs, “Milap met Pooja a couple of times and discussed the project for long, but things didn’t work out between the two and the actress has politely declined the offer. The reason behind her refusal is not known.” This is not the first time Pooja has turned a project down. Earlier, the actress had said ‘No’ to Faruk Kabir’s next opposite Sooraj Pancholi.
Getting a suitable female lead is not the only issue with the makers of ‘Raakh’, they yet not have a proper financer cum producer for their film. A few days back, the news was rife in the B-town that Zaveri first went to Bhushan Kumar of T-Series, but due to the high budget, he declined to produce the film, as he felt it wasn’t worth investing. Now the movie is being made under Nikhil Advani’s production house and will go on floors from February this year.
