Sooraj Barjatya 's directorial ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' has started its advance bookings prior to five days of its release. The ticket windows are seeing Salman Khan fans flooding to book the shows and going by the report, ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' has recorded advance bookings of 20 to 30% on Diwali day, while the for the next day, the movie has recorded 80 to 100% advance bookings.

While Diwali is all about patakhe, puja, family, friends and parties, ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' has made the audience to spend some time for their love for films. Here are some opinions on Diwali day releases.

Wave Cinemas, corporate head, Yogesh Raizada said "Apart from this year, the pre-Diwali week is always average in terms of collections and occupancy. Diwali saal ka sabse bada festival hai, toh Diwali release bhi sabse badi hogi. Diwali ne stars ko superstar banaya hai. But the big picture is about the day after Diwali. The whole year cinemas look forward to Diwali week because it is the strongest week of the year, but the day itself has lower occupancy,"

PVR Pictures, CEO, Kamal Gianchandani stated "It's not a 'mall festival'. People prefer staying at home and meeting their friends instead of going to a cinema hall on Diwali. This year, the Diwali release is on the day after Diwali and the dip on Diwali day will be compensated by the full house next week. The big budget movies are never released right before Diwali because for years, Diwali collections have been lower than the next day. This year, the Diwali occupancy will be lower in comparison to the next day because the big 'Diwali movie release' is on the very next day,"

60 to 70% screen space has been allotted to ' Prem Ratan Dhan Payo ' and a family entertainer featuring Salman Khan is enough to keep the box office ringing this festive season.

Talking about this, Devang Sampat stated "It is a long weekend right after Diwali, so the footfall will be higher. The extended holiday period will bring great revenue and it's a Salman Khan film. PRDP release is a sure blockbuster weekend and 60-70% of our seats have been booked in advance. At our megaplexes in Maharashtra, we have given 50 shows a day to PRDP. And we have had mass bookings for this film. The auto-dealers and real estate managers are buying tickets in bulk and giving them to their clients as a Diwali gift. This week is like a cine fest,"
