Priyanka Chopra opens up about Academy Awards & Indian films!

Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra has now become a global icon. Her songs and American TV Show Quantico led to the global recognition. Lately, the diva also made a successful debut in Hollywood with the film Baywatch also starring Dwyane Johnson and Zac Efron. She has also bagged her second Hollywood film Isn’t It Romantic and was seen shooting for the film recently. Here in India, the lady has started her production house Purple Pebble Pictures which is successfully producing regional movies.

Priyanka has been selected as the member of the Academy to render opinions among several other Indian as well as global actors and personalities. While sharing her views on the same, PC stated:

"I am grateful to the Academy for including such diverse amount of people from around the world. They ask us our opinions when we are the member of the Academy. My view and opinion is that it opens itself up to nominations for foreign language films outside of just one category."

The actress added, "I hope that is something which happens because there are so many films which come from the world, even Indian films. When our talent has won awards, it has been for films not made by India, because the opportunities are less. I hope that is something that changes and I hope I can contribute to that."
