Priyanka Chopra will be producing a web series!

Priyanka Chopra and her production house Purple Pebble Productions is on a production spree! Her production house made huge wave nationally as one of her Marathi regional film Ventilator went on to be not only successful commercially but garnered many accolades too at the National Film Awards. While other ventures in regional languages are still going on, co-owner of the production house, Madhu Chopra, made it clear that the production house will also venture in to internet entertainment media and will be producing a web series again to reach maximum audience!

While announcing that, she also mentioned some of the problem caused by latest tax revelation GST and how it affected the entertainment industry. She quotes, “If the prices of ticket price hike up, it would cause a counter effect on incoming audience footfall and eventually the industry. While our film projects will go on floor as scheduled, we can tap into digital market, as it is future of entertainment! Though it would be too early to say anything but we are planning our ways to experiment in to that territory.”

She also mentioned, “High taxation is quite unfair, and earning-wise, regional cinema is now will be more affected. But end of the day, filmmaking is a business!”

Right now, Purple Pebble production is making a Sikkimese film and their upcoming Marathi film, Kaay Re Rascalaa, is all set to release! It would be interesting to see what Priyanka Chopra’ production house has to offer new audience, with their web series!
