Yash Raj is surely bringing the hype up about their upcoming film Qaidi Band which is a gritty drama based on the life of 7 prisoners and how they form their rock band, in Indian prison! Despite having an all new star cast with familiar actors in supporting roles, as per the trailer and songs been released so far, it is impressive to see Yash Raj have found such talented cast. And about this new song, Hulchal, might just cause goose-bumps after listening!
The Little backdrop of the story, living in the hostile and morbid atmosphere, the intention behind forming a band is to bring positive vibes in the isolated places like the prison. Though they set the tone for how talented the band is and what effect it renders on fellow inmates with the song I am India. And with the song Hulchal, they took that excitement and their inmate’s adoration to the next level.
The song and the lyrics of the song broadly highlight claustrophobic vibe every prison mate is living, where there is no hope for hope to shine! It is admirable that the song maintains every element of the rock anthem would be needed to have and composer of the song, Amit Trivedi, pretty much nailed it. And giving soul to the song, vocalist Arijit Singh, and Yashita Sharma brings life to the overall track. Of course, the song wouldn’t have been so compelling of Kausar Munir wouldn’t have written such gripping lyrics that accurately paints the feeling prisoners go through!
