Film 2.0 will kick start its promotions using the hot-air balloon to float the life-size posters of Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar across the globe.
2.0 will be releasing in 2018 and its makers have already planned to start the promotions from tomorrow onwards. Approximately six months ahead of its time, the marketing team has planned a unique style of promotions. As per the creative head of Lyca Productions, Raju Mahalingam, they will be using a hot air balloon carrying life-size posters of Rajnikanth and Akshay Kumar. It will be flying around major countries across the globe.
The 2.0 hot air balloon journey will begin from tomorrow onwards, with Hollywood signage in Los Angeles being its first destination. Followed by which, it continues to float in London, Dubai, Australia, Europe and some South-East Asian countries. As per his recent media interaction, Raju was quoted saying, “As we don’t look at this film as an Indian production but a Hollywood movie, we wanted to do something different. So, we ordered for a 100-foot-tall hot air balloon eight months ago.” He further added, “We hope to involve well-known film stars from across the country to participate in the ride.”
Rajnikanth and Akshay starrer 2.0 also stars Amy Jackson. It is the sequel to 2010 blockbuster film Robot. Initially, it was scheduled to release on 18th October 2017, but the makers postponed its release citing the reason of making 2.0 technically advanced. Directed by Shankar, the film is made on the total budget on 4.5 billion!
