Rishi Kapoor to play Dawood in 'D-Day'

Senior actor Rishi Kapoor will essay a character named Goldman in Nikhil Advani's upcoming action thriller 'D-Day' which is said to be inspired from Dawood Ibrahim.

Recently, the most anticipated look of senior actor Rishi Kapoor was unveiled from the film ' D-Day '. The action thriller is directed by Nikhil Advani .

The new avatar of Rishi Kapoor portrays him donned in white, blue and brown suits or silk kurtas with a mustache and black hair. Rishi Kapoor renders the picture of a transcendent aristocracy and raw power. If you add the typical retro red aviators to this look, then you will get that perfect look which will be remembered by all the audiences for a long time.

There is a buzz that the character of Rishi Kapoor is inspired from the infamous underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. Apparently, the source close to ' D-Day ' revealed that the talented actor will essay the fictional character code named Goldman. The character code is given by the Indian security agencies. An escapee in hiding Goldman is a chilling, diabolical, nefarious and sinister person who buries himself in an appearance of a respectable and charming self.

However, firstly, Rishi Kapoor was doubtful about playing this role. He thought that whether he would be able to carry the look perfectly or not. But when the look test was performed on him, the senior actor realized that the casting was done perfectly. He proved to be the right choice to essay the antagonist. Now, these red aviators have become the trademark of Goldman in the film.

' D-Day ' is produced by Emmay Entertainment and DAR Motion Pictures. The movie features Rishi Kapoor , Irrfan Khan , Arjun Rampal , Huma Qureshi and Shruti Haasan . It will hit the screens on 19th July 2013.
