Salman Khan starrer ‘Sultan’ wins big at the Tehran International Sports Film Festival!

In 2016, Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma and Ali Abbas Zafar collaborated for the first time for the film, ‘Sultan’, and it turned out to be a blockbuster hit. Audiences loved the story of ‘Sultan’ and the film raked in Rs. 300 crores. With a heartfelt, son of the soil story about a rural Indian wrestler’s struggle to prove himself in a modern sports and entertainment arena, ‘Sultan’ has gone on to win major awards at the Tehran International Sports Film Festival.

Ali Abbas Zafar, Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma won the best director, best actor and best actress award (respectively) and an honorary diploma in Long Narrative section.

Sultan has already made an impact with standing ovations and high praise won at the Busan International Film Festival and at the Shanghai International Film Festival. The film’s success at Tehran reiterates its universal appeal and the power of cinema in entertaining and engaging with people worldwide.
