The socio-political thriller ' Satyagraha ' released on August 30, which is directed by Prakash Jha is creating much hype over the topic of corruption in the nation. Adorned with the stellar starcast and weighty story, the film was bound to get a stormy response at the box office on Friday. And the similar thing happened as per the prediction. ' Satyagraha ' minted around 11.21 crore nett on its first day of release, reportedly. This collection can be tagged as the highest ever opening till now.
' Satyagraha ' featuring Amitabh Bachchan , Ajay Devgn , Kareena Kapoor , Arjun Rampal , Amrita Rao and Manoj Bajpai , is made with the budget of around 50 crore, according to the reports. The movie bagged mixed reviews from the film critics, however it seemed appealing to majority of the masses due to its touching topic. The UTV Motion Pictures officials anticipate a better weekend collection for the film.
The Director of India Theatrical Distribution, Gaurav Verma stated that the movie observed a great response at the box office. The film is being well-received by the cinema-goers regardless of the age group, added Verma. He feels optimistic regarding the weekend collection of this political saga due to positive word-of-mouth publicity.
