Shah Rukh Khan tops the survey as 'India's Most Popular Father'

With Father's Day around the corner on June 15, the well-known matrimonial site Shaadi.com conducted an online survey to hunt India's most popular father. The survey was carried out with over 5,500 respondents. Going by the report, Indian women showered loads of votes on Shah Rukh Khan as the most popular father. US President Barack Obama grabbed the top position in the list, when the respondents were asked about the popular fathers of other nationalities.

Shah Rukh Khan received votes from 42.5% of Indian women followed by the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar with 36.9% votes, reportedly. The megastar Amitabh Bachchan bagged 20.6% votes. Talking about the famous fathers of other nationalities, the noted musician Will Smith got second position after Barack Obama with 31.4% votes followed by Football champion David Backham, who got 15.2% votes. Tennis player Roger Federer achieved 13.1% votes.

The respondents also had to choose 'India's Most Admired Father-Daughter Relationship'. In this, Shah Rukh and his daughter Suhana were chosen by 43.2% people followed by Mahesh Bhatt and Alia Bhatt with 27.3% votes. The third position was grabbed by Prakash Padukone and Deepika Padukone with 17.2% votes. The father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor got 12.3% votes. Then, the respondents were also required to choose 'Most Admired Father-Son Relationship'. In this category, Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor topped the charts with 33.4% votes followed by Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan with 31.2% votes. Shah Rukh Khan and Aryan Khan received 23.3% votes, while Sunil Gavaskar and Rohan Gavaskar got 12.1% votes, as per the report.

The Chief Operations Officer of Shaadi.com, Gourav Rakshit stated that this online survey emphasizes on the fact that the masses like and idolize the celebrities, who give quality time tot heir family despite of their stardom.
