\'Shahid\' gets extended support from the slain lawyer Shahid Azmi\'s family

When Rajkummar Rao studied in depth about the life of the lawyer, he was literally moved by Shahid\'s moral values. Apparently, the Mumbai-based lawyer Shahid Azmi used to defend people, who are arrested under false charges. The upright lawyer used to get several death threats and he was later murdered over his fearless nature of work. Shahid Azmi was inclined towards assisting the innocent people from getting unnecessarily harassed at the hands of law and that\'s what drove the director Hansal Mehta to bring alive the true story of the slain lawyer in front of the audience.

Shahid\'s brother Khalid provided a special support to the movie by confessing that Rajkummar Rao has brought his brother alive. He also said that the movie possesses 95% accuracy and it follows an unbiased perspective. Azmi family assisted the makers in every possible way in their research process and provided several valuable inputs.
