We had recently reported that KriArj Entertainment is set to remake the 1964 classic film Woh Kaun Thi and that Shahid Kapoor might topline the project. The latest we hear that Kapoor will seek veteran actor Manoj Kumar ’s blessings before giving his final nod to the untitled film. For the uninitiated, Manoj Kumar played the male lead in the original film alongside Sadhana .

“Shahid feels it’s only proper to touch base with the original cast and crew. But not many people associated with the original are still alive. Director Raj Khosla and music director Madan Mohan are no longer with us, and neither is Sadhana, who played the ethereal spirit. This leaves Manoj Kumar. Shahid will meet him, as this version of Who Kaun Thi is meant to be a tribute to the original,” reveals a source.

Speculations were rife that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , who is currently busy with Fanne Khan , might be cast in the role played by Sadhana . However, the makers at KriArj Entertainment have denied all such rumors.
