Veteran director Sheershak Anand 's upcoming film 3G has been inspired from the real life incidents revealed the director. The film has Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sonal Chauhan as central characters. According to the director, the horror flick is based upon a real incidence in Nigeria. There was a specific phone number which was haunted and whoever took the number had fallen to the tragic death within six months of the possession. After reading various articles about this incident, the director duo Shantanu Ray Chhibber and Sheershak Anand got inspired and decided to take this subject for their film.

Sheershak said that they have done a lot of research on the subject. He has been writing for films since much time now so wanted to work on something different. He said that he loves to work on the out of the box concept. People love to watch supernatural , horror thriller flicks so they wanted to give something different to their viewers. They did not want to show the big haunted mansions and ghosts. So the idea of a jinxed cell phone clicked them as it was something unique. According to Sheershak, we live in the era of advanced technology, so these highly developed gadgets can become scary at times. He also expressed that today when everything is evolving so fast , so our reasons for fear also must be updated. That's why they gave the name ' 3G ' to their film.
