Shriya Pilgaonkar & Ali Fazal team up for a Web Series!
Besides Shriya Pilgaonkar & Ali Fazal, Mirzapur also features Pankaj Tripathi and Vikrant Massey.
Shriya Pilgaonkar, who made her acting debut with Shah Rukh Khan’s film Fan, is all set to foray into the evolving digital space with an upcoming web-series. Titled Mirzapur, the web-series will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment for a global online platform. Ali Fazal will play the male lead opposite Shriya.
Mirzapur will be a gangster drama. The series is being directed by the makers of Inside Edge. It is currently being shot in Varanasi. Besides Shriya Pilgaonkar & Ali Fazal, Mirzapur also stars Pankaj Tripathi and Vikrant Massey in important roles.
When asked, Shriya said "I am thrilled to be part of Mirzapur and to be working with Excel. We have already started shooting in Varanasi. The cast is fantastic and the character I play is completely different from what I have done before. Ali and I have been friends since college, so it's even more special that we are working together."
