Singer Kavita Seth joins forces with a Pakistani poet Rehman Faris

Kavita Seth, who is known for her Sufi singing and has sung songs like “Iktara” in Wake Up Sid, “Tumhi Ho Bandhu” in Cocktail and “Jeete Hai Chal” in Neerja, has now collaborated with the famous Pakistani Poet Rehman Faris for her next single " Yeah Jo Mujh Par Nikhar Hai ".Rehman Faris is civil service officer by profession in Lahore.

Rehman Faris, who is a passionate poet from Pakistan, when first met Kavita Seth 20 years back at a mushaira held in Mumbai, they both bonded over their passion for poetry. Rehman mailed some of his poetry to Kavita which she really liked and decided to compose a song named ''Ye Jo Mujh Par Nikhar Hain'' which is a brand new sufiana song for all Sufi lover.

On touching base with the singer she stated “I don't believe in banning Pakistani artists, it is not a solution to keep Indo-Pak relations healthy. Finally, I am happy that the song is out, and we as an artist believe in creating memorable moments through our music".
