State Government Honours Vidya Balan!
Maharashtra Government has decided to honour actress Vidya Balan for her contribution to the film industry.
Actress Vidya Balan who is known for her versatile roles and unconventional choices will complete a decade in the film industry this June. To honour her contribution to Indian cinema, the government of Maharashtra has decided to honour the beautiful actress.
In a recent interaction with a leading daily, Vidya stated that she feels humbled to receive an award from the state government. The award is named as the Raj Kapoor Special Contribution Award hence she is extremely happy as Raj Kapoor is her favourite film-maker. Vidya will be presented with a cash price of Rs. 3 lakh as a memento and a citation by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Minister of Cultural Affairs Vinod Tawde, at a ceremony in Pune.
