After his 2016 drug-drama Udta Punjab, acclaimed filmmaker Abhishek Chaubey is all set to begin work on his next project, which is tentatively titled Sone Chidaiya. The director has signed Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar to play lead characters in the period movie, which revolves around the Chambal dacoits of the 1970s. Sushant, who was last seen in Dinesh Vijan's Raabta opposite Kriti Sanon, is psyched up to start shooting for the film later this month in the jungles of Chambal. The actor has reportedly reached the location three weeks in advance to prepare for his part. That's called dedication!
Sushant will be seen in the role of a dacoit in the movie. “Sushant is playing a dacoit for the first time and wanted to get into the character before the schedule starts so he will leave for the location on January 12 to spend time with a few former dacoits. He will also lose some muscle weight to look the rustic part as well as learn rifle-shooting,” informs a source.
The first shooting schedule will be of two months and the Chaubey will leave for the location on 8th January. “The cast will also have to work on the Bundelkhandi dialect. Abhishek is leaving for Chambal on January 8 for a two-month schedule. This will be followed by a shorter schedule in Mumbai at a later stage,” the source added.
